[엑스포츠뉴스=김유진 기자] CL’s new song will be out breaking her one-year hiatus.
CL participated in the soundtrack of the movie “My Little Pony”, which is scheduled to hit the US theaters on October 6.
“My Little Pony” is a movie version of an famous US animation. It will be a family musical movie that has a touch of comedy and adventure. CL sang the 11th track titled “No Better Feelin”.
Billboard published an article on September 15 about CL’s soundtrack and wrote, “CL’s ‘No Better Feelin’ will be featured in the film, marking her first solo song since last year’s ‘Lifted.’ The reveal came just a few weeks after the Korean artist shared and then deleted a heartfelt letter to her fans on Instagram. In it, CL apologized for not releasing her long-promised first album, which she had been teasing for several years.”
The magazine went on to say, “As a former member of the iconic K-pop girl group 2NE1, CL gained a reputation for her domineering stage persona as she went on to collaborate with the likes of Skrillex, Diplo and Lil Yachty. Since 2014, CL has been making inroads into the American music market, with thanks to her manager Scooter Braun. After releasing ‘Lifted’ last August and holding her Hello Bitches tour, things went quiet for the star as 2NE1 announced its break-up and released one final song. While she’s kept active on social media, aside from her inclusion on Lil Yachty’s Teenage Emotions in May, ‘No Better Feelin’ is the first sign of life from the singer this year.”
CL’s “No Better Feelin” will be released on September 22.
